Ben ran to catch up to Kat in the hallway of CalArts one day, maybe it was Sept 17, 2015, and they instantly became a duo called Ben and Kat.

 

Ben and Kat play experimental electric chamber-folk with Ben playing his electric bass with effects in odd tunings and Kat gracefully switching between many vocal styles and electronics.

 

Following a recent recording of their adaptation of Samuel Barber’s Sure on This Shining Night at Capitol Records in Los Angeles, Ben and Kat are just about to unveil their debut release. Enter unique, intimate, expansive, poetic, deeply carved electroacoustic soundscapes of movingly creative music.
